CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
reshaping the business mindset
We partner with Ethical Sourcing and Freedom Businesses to ensure all our products are ethically made and there were no modern day slavery conditions at any stages of the production. We aim to fight human trafficking by raising awareness, preventing individuals who are at-risk of exploitation from becoming victims and by supporting lived-experience individuals, offering them an opportunity to recover, heal and thrive. Overall, we embrace corporate social responsibility through:

environmental sustainability

ethical / human rights practices

philanthropic support

economic responsibility
How it all started

Originally called "Bejewelled", it all started when Joy Baldwin, an American who was brought up in Greece, launched the non-profit in order to realize a long-term vision that was permanently seared into her memories after a haunting and traumatic visit to the brothels of Athens with Nea Zoi many years ago.

As an entrepreneur with a jewelry background, her dream was to use her own experience and enterprise to provide the girls with a sustainable income stream through jewelry making.

This dream was put on hold when a job assignment took her family to Switzerland. In 2020, she partnered with Marile Cilliers, a friend passionate about trafficked women, and together they dreamed of starting a business that would alleviate the exploitation of these women through entrepreneurship.

This dream became Bejewelled Designs, a business that uses fashion to create meaningful opportunities among the most vulnerable, and in 2025 we were able to expand the vision into creating a platform which is able to support any anti-trafficking organisation in Greece, open up a shop and raise awareness to the wider community.
Through these business practices, our ultimate goal is to fight injustice, and another important aspect in doing so is raising awareness. Each year, millions of individuals are exploited for profit — both within their own countries and across borders, and it's a social issue that exists in every single country, forcing individuals to work under horrific conditions. By informing the public and raising awareness, people can understand how these crimes work and we encourage everyone to take action.
